Back for a second attempt at Canada Water, Surrey Quays, Rotherhithe, London Borough Of Southwark. Controlled by The New Rotherhithe Angling Club https://www.tnrac.co.uk/

After blanking first visit, decided to have another go. Have tried resisting chasing carp for 3 month's however after spotting some rather large carp Saturday, just couldn't resist the temptation to go for one. Only a small one, but not complaining πŸ‘πŸ˜ŽπŸŽ£

A first visit to this water, meeting up with Fishing Buddy Stephen. Canada Water once renowned for some huge carp, tench, rudd. Sadly suffering a fish kill some years back. Still containing some huge carp, including the biggest leather carp known in London.
Travelling light on the pushbike the aim today was to catch a nice tench, bream, or even despite my personal 3 month carp ban, would have been happy to catch one.
The day didn't start of to well dropping my Fortis fishing glasses in the dock, despite efforts to get back no chance. A dock that was once 33ft deep now about 25ft with 8ft of silt over the years long gone never to be seen again.
Stephen done well on maggots and worms targeting the smaller fish catching plenty. Myself despite using what would regard as Super baits including pellets soaked in salmon oil for weeks failed to get so much as a single bite. Bread, boilies, pellets, sweetcorn, luncheon meat all failing.
Despite another blank, and getting soaked on way home still had a super day. Great Club and always good to meet wonderful Members.
Will be back soon, in the hope of catching the big carp, tench, and rudd that live here.
It's called fishing not catching... Will be back. Well done Stephen.

That's all for now, might just dip a line later today. As always Tight Lines, may your next bite be a Big One or anyone big or small πŸ‘πŸ˜ŽπŸŽ£

Yet to dip a line in this London Dock. This water is not going to be an easy one to conquer, if at all. Concidered as Rock Hard on The London Carp Circuit with Great Rewards. Not many carp to target, however those willing to be patient, study and outwit what few large carp to target are in for a surprise.
Sadly another London water that has suffered a fish kill. Although many fish where lost this water is still home to the biggest leather carp in London.
Shall shortly be returning to dip a line πŸ‘πŸ˜ŽπŸŽ£

AWS Blog Entry: 19 May 19 Welcome to My Angling Blog called Angling With Shaun.

Coming to the point of ending one Mission 'Catch A Fish In All 33 London Authorities' and taking up next Mission.

There is no need to define this next quest a Mission, or Challenge. Certainly don't want to feel under so much pressure again, to the point of feeling down.

Couldn't put myself through such stress again, that was some Mission really wouldn't want to set a deadline again. Hence taking this one steady. No time scale. No stress whatsoever…
