This trip to Stoke-on-Trent was originally planned way back in the closed coarse season, unfortunately cancelled due to ill health. Then when was finally ready to go, a Friend talked me out of it last minute, saying was mad, like going all the way to Bewdley and not fishing The Severn. So finally, better late than never on my way.

Mind you in hindsight do wish had left far sooner than now, at least the bed and breakfast would have been far more comfortable, and inviting than sleeping in a tent.
The coach journey from Victoria Coach Station to Stoke-on-Trent was by far the worst trip ever taken to date. Literally an hour and a half just to get to Heathrow, in solid traffic. As if the children playing their video games, and children's films, wasn't bad enough along with babies crying.
Then someone gets on at Heathrow, squashing me like a sardine the rest of the journey. Not even on the coach for more than a minute hand touching my backside trying to get his seat belt fastened. Yikes ! Not pleasant can assure you my worse nightmare.
Was actually really excited to be getting back on my bucket list, Angling Odyssey 'Catch A Fish From All 76 UK Cities 🇬🇧 However can't say the change in weather, grey sky, and rain arriving in a city never seen at night, thinking where going to pitch up a tent for the night is anything close to exciting, more daunting.
After leaving Victoria Coach Station, London, finally arrived at destination Hanley Coach Station, Stoke-on-Trent.
Have to be totally honest, not a place you want to arrive late at night for the first time. Walk the streets and find somewhere to fish, pitch up wild camping for the night.
Having arrived looking through the coach windows was a little shocked at what was witnessing. Let's put it this way, the coach station was full of, undesirable characters some with cans of booze, others spaced out on Monkey Dust walking around like Zombies 🧟♂️ 🧟♀️ please except apologies this is by no means disrespect to the decent, friendly Stoke-on-Trent Residents.
After a word with the two kind Coach Drivers, they agreed wasn't safe to get off, head on my adventures. Stayed on the coach and headed to Chester, which was far safer to visit and walk the streets at night.

Not what came for however, except this Miller's Thumb as the latest edition fish to be included, Angling Odyssey Travelogue Catch A Fish From All 76 UK Cities number 41 of 76 Cities complete 🇬🇧
work in progress, thanks for your patience 🙏
Absolutely love travelling seeing new places never seen before. Looking forward to the next three Cities starting with Stoke-on-Trent in May. Shall be fishing The Trent and Mersey Canal, along with my usual sightseeing of the city.
