Fishing In The London Borough Of Haringey
Fishing In The London Borough Of Waltham Forest
Having fished all 33 London Authorities, decided to write a separate blog for each London Borough and The City Of London. These separate blog posts are a starting point rather than the finished article. From 22nd of June 2018 to the 21st of June 2019 set about catching a fish in every one.
Limited in time to just a year to complete, holding down a day job didn't have the time to catch a Specimen fish from each. Some attempts resulted in tiny fish as a result had alot of negative feedback. In order to catch a Specimen from each and every Borough it would take far in excess of a year.
Have decided to invest far more time on the bank in order to achieve a reasonable sized fish from each and every one this time round with no time limits or added pressure.
This blog is certainly not all about myself, in fact get a lot more pleasure meeting other anglers on the bank, taking pictures and sharing their stories. Especially look forward to meeting many more of you out and about.
Along the way will be adding pictures from many different Anglers get to meet, including every venue available, those can fish, those you can't. Including all Fishing Clubs, Day tickets, and free fishing.
This is one of all 33 London Authorities...
Starting point rather than the finished article, thanks for your patience...
As Always Tight Lines, may your next bite be a Big One or anyone big or small.
Shaun.

BOROUGH Of HARINGEY COMPLETED:
13th April, 2019
13th April, 2019
Lee Navigation, from Tottenham Hale to Tottenham Marsh, London Borough Of Haringey.
Good Evening All,
Firstly apologies for the absence, needed a short break, have been out fishing and pre baiting a few secret spots in the hope of bigger fish. Not to be... At the end of the day the mission/challenge is to catch a fish big or small, don't want to drag this out any longer than necessary.
Some have said its a shame not kept this mission flowing. Plan to get it done as quickly as possible, it's not a race by any means. And don't wish to get stressed by the lack of speed completing.
Today was a waste of time spending so long waiting for a big one, especially after having memory jogged this stretch of The Lee Navigation had a big fish kill not once but twice a year ago. Most of the the bigger fish unfortunately got wiped out. So glad to switch to maggot after spending so long on the worm. Was thankful just to catch a tiddler 12 in total. Better than past three attempts without so much as a bite in the winter at Alexandra Palace.
A great day out, lovely to be joined by my mate Stephen again, who caught plenty of small stuff as well. Further pictures to follow later.
Authorities Completed: 29/33 Date: 13th April 19
Still on course to complete all 33 London Authorities, 32 Boroughs, plus The City Of London. Thanks for your kind words, and support.
As always tight lines and may your next bite be a big one, or anyone big or small 👍😎🎣

Afternoon Folks,
The Lee Navigation, Tottenham Hale to Tottenham Marsh, London Borough Of Haringey.
Yes! Thanks for your messages. Another small one yesterday. Noddy Bashing! The proof is there on Google Search. Many reports of the pollution hit Lee Navigation last year. Not once but twice. Not only all the big fish wiped out swans, and wildlife.
Does make me wonder with so many old cars taken off the road, why so many London Waterways are like the M25. No boat MOT, the smell of diesel in the air, not to mention in the water. It's wonder anything survives such heavy boat traffic pollution.
Good Afternoon All,
The Lee Navigation, Tottenham Hale to Tottenham Marshes, London Borough Of Haringey.
Despite heavy diesel pollution last year from boats, including discharge from pipes in this section not to mention further down in Hackney good signs of recovery. We can All recall stories of how great the fishing was back in the day sadly those days are long gone and set to get worse with increasing housing rent, and people opting to live on the waterways.
Can remember regular match reports from this famous stretch in The Anglers Mail and Angling Times. Carp over 30Ibs, Tench over 6Ibs, Roach over 2Ibs. There is no point reflecting on the past.
Thankfully there are still plenty of small fish to catch, hopefully with some proper Waterway Management and less dirty boats our waterways might improve.
A good day all in all, obviously no big fish due to heavy pollution, still great to be out fishing with my Buddy Stephen. Both caught plenty of small stuff.
to be continued

Good Afternoon, back for a second attempt at Alexandra Palace Boating Lake, London Borough Of Haringey. This time round resorting to match fishing tactics, extra light hook length, elastic, and tiny 26 hook, single maggot. Hopefully catch one today and scratch of this London Borough.
Update: Not a single bite local Anglers advice don't bother fishing until April once weather warms up.
Bye for now 👍😎🎣
